Carol Rutherford
A trained commercial artist, Carol worked in Toronto for various advertising agencies for fourteen years. In 2006, Carol moved to Peterborough and became a member of the Kawartha Artist Gallery & Studio. Carol continues to challenge her artistic abilities through the Ideas and Practices In Contemporary Art class, instructed by Anne-Marie Kornachuk at the Art School of Peterborough. link to Carol's web site
Artist Statement Initially inspired by the wild horses of Sable Island, I have produced a number of large paintings capturing the fluidity and grace of horses. I use bold colour and an expressive way of painting to capture the power and beauty of these stunning animals. Title: The Spirit of Equus
