CATE KINGDON Cate endeavours to translate her appreciation of nature’s raw beauty and eternal message in her paintings. She studied visual art at York University in the 1970’s and has dabbled in many manifestations of visual art in the day to day world over the last thirty-five years such as art shows (gallery and art fairs), commercial art and teaching art. Her expression through visual art continues to evolve, honing her skills in the use of design and color employing a diversity of mediums and techniques applied to the realist style. Proudly the work is included in private and corporate collections throughout North America, Western Europe and Great Britain Cate maintains studios in Peterborough and at Jack’s Lake in Apsley, Ontario. She is a member of Visual Arts Ontario, Kawartha Artist’s Gallery and Studio, the Apsley Studio Tour, Artspace and the Art Gallery of Peterborough. Her work is presented to the public at the Loft Gallery in Young’s Point General Store ,Young’s Point, Ontario, on the Apsley Studio Tour (third week-end of September) or by appointment at either of her studios. email Cate
