“When I paint I feel immersed in form and colour and occasionally feel I capture this experience on the canvas”. ART HAS ALWAYS been a major factor in my life and while I have been busy doing various jobs and have interests in many other fields I am always able to spend a good portion of my time painting and drawing. I HAVE BEEN LEARNING much over the years. In 1994 I joined the ART SCHOOL OF PETERBOROUGH and over the course of the past thirteen years I have taken a variety of classes with Art Director, RICHARD HAYMAN. Drawing, pen and ink sketching, working with mixed medium, painting with oil, doing portrait studies, and learning the idiosyncrasies of etching have been important stepping stones for me creatively and I’ve had success with most of these mediums. More importantly I have always had great pleasure during the process. I have also taken classes in watercolour under the direction of TERRANCE ANDREWS. WHEN I FIRST JOINED KAWARTHA ARTISTS’ GALLERY AND STUDIO I took part in the portrait group and will soon expand my horizons by joining the Thursday Outdoor Painters Group. I HAVE DISPLAYED my work at the PETERBOROUGH THEATRE GUILD, KAGS and COSSAR ART CENTRE. From these shows I have sold several items and obtained a few commissions.
