Gerry O'Neill
It still remains a
source of joy for me in my work space, to experience anew with each
painting, the effect of bringing together paint, water, brush and paper
to create an image that reflects what I had contemplated and experienced
in nature - the colours, shapes and values.
I began painting
two years before retiring in 1991 and chose the medium of watercolour;
mainly flowers and scenery. Floral images seem to come together with
joyful surprises allowing the water and paint to do it’s own thing.
