PAM BARCLAY Pam has been with the gallery for a good long time and a big part of that time has been with the Outdoor Painters. Going out on location, painting buildings and gardens and sometimes working in ink, with her own unique marks, she makes artwork that is full of creativity. Moving here from Toronto, were she belonged to art groups and even met some of the Group of Seven, when she was asked to paint up north and sleep in a box car. She has taught watercolour and painted with long enough to be dubbed an expert on the subject. Still attending the Outdoor Painters and the Buckhorn Group on a regular basis, it keeps her mind open to new ideas. Graduating from a commercial art course in Toronto and then worked for Ontario Hydro as a topographical draftsperson. During the years that followed, she painted with many of Toronto’s better known artists — concentrating first in oils then watercolours. Pamela was a member of the Artist Workshop, Willowdale Group and is now a member of E.C.O.A.A., the Cape Coral League OF Florida and the S.W. Florida Art Assoc. She taught with the Fort 11 league in Florida in 1993. Her paintings have hung in many juried shows and in the Mathiasville Gallery, The Jackson Gallery, Whetung Curve Lake Gallery and the Village House Gallery.
