Diane was born in New Brunswick and grew up in Peterborough where she lives with her husband Peter.
Influenced by her Grandmother, an artist in Nova Scotia, she began at an early age entering high school art competitions and was recognized with some top awards.
There was little time for Art while raising her family and working, but after retiring in 1998 she now has time to pursue her passion. She has taken many courses and workshops with Richard Hayman, Gary Chapman, Edwin Matthews and recently with Stirling Edwards of North Carolina.
She is a member of the Buckhorn Artists’ Group and the Kawartha Artists’ Gallery and Studio in Peterborough which includes a group of Outdoor Painters.
Painting for pleasure and relaxation with each piece being a “new adventure”. Her work has sold to Art enthusiasts across Canada.
